Trans-Tasman Opportunities

My Ampol journey started at Z in Wellington New Zealand and now I am living in Melbourne, Australia.

I have a role with a trans-Tasman scope, so I work in both markets, but with the size and opportunity scope in the Australian market being broader than New Zealand currently, the role is Australia based, and I have selected Melbourne as the place I want to be!

The opportunity to move into a trans-Tasman focused role has given me experience in the energy and mobility sector in a new market; prior to joining Z my career was in the fashion industry, and so my previous corporate experience in Australia was very different to the work I do now in Ampol.

I would recommend anyone taking up a global mobility opportunity where it is on offer! Not only for the experience of a new place to live, and extension into and exposure to different working cultures and business markets, but for the perspective it gives you: both on the opportunities in a different place, and usually, the sometimes-undervalued glimmers of the place you have come from.
