About the role 

The Commercial Insights Analyst sits at the intersection of data, operations and strategy—turning complex financial and commercial inputs into clear, actionable insights that drive decisions across Supply, Trading, Commercial and F&I. This is a hands-on role for someone who can dive into the detail while keeping a clear view of the bigger picture: building and refining integrated models, developing robust data pipelines (leveraging Python for automation, analysis and scalability), and delivering sharp visualisations and reporting that cut through noise. You’ll work cross-functionally to answer critical business questions, translating data into clear, compelling narratives that influence performance and growth—combining strong technical execution with the commercial judgement to focus on what matters. 

This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Alexandria headquarters with a hybrid working arrangement.  

Key responsibilities 

  • Analyse financial and commercial datasets to deliver actionable insights and recommendations  
  • Validate and investigate enterprise integrated value and EBIT data for accuracy and integrity  
  • Design and develop P&L and EBIT faceplates aligned to organisational structures  
  • Build value-tree profitability drivers across multiple business lenses  
  • Develop, enhance and maintain financial models, data cubes and Power BI reports  
  • Support monthly reporting cycles and dashboard updates for F&I Commercial teams  
  • Present insights to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making  
  • Deliver ad-hoc analysis and reports to tight deadlines  
  • Document processes and reporting standards in Confluence 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial analysis or finance-related roles  
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent experience  
  • Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, DAX, and Power BI, with proven hands-on experience  
  • Strong experience with SAP and financial reporting environments  
  • Ability to synthesise multiple data sources into clear business insights  
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills  
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, complex environments  
  • Python experience essential
