About the role

We’re looking for someone with retail and projects experience to step into a 12-month contract as a Site Conversion Lead, supporting the delivery of a major national transformation program.

You will play a critical role in supporting site conversions across the network—acting as the key link between frontline site teams and central program functions.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working across multiple stakeholders, and brings strong operational judgement from frontline experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the initiation and coordination of site conversion activities across multiple locations
  • Work closely with Site Managers, Business Managers, contractors, and central program teams
  • Provide first-level triage support via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
  • Guide and support site teams through the full conversion lifecycle
  • Identify, document, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and operational standards
  • Deliver consistent reporting, including daily site status updates
  • Provide flexible, ad hoc operational support aligned to program priorities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager in a frontline operations role
  • Strong understanding of site operations, trading environments, safety, and compliance
  • Ability to apply sound operational judgement in fast-paced environments
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different functions
  • Strong communication skills across written, verbal, and digital channels
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail

Benefits

  • We are flexible. Many of our teams have embraced hybrid work, balancing time spent remote working, with time spent at an office to connect and work together where it adds value.
  • We value recognition.  We have an internal recognition platform amplifying the achievements of those who do great work and demonstrate our capabilities and values.
  • Career development and learning opportunities including LinkedIn Learning and other tailored training solutions.
