About the role  

Reporting to the Maintenance Execution Superintendent, this is an exciting opportunity for an Execution Coordinator to join the Maintenance team at the Lytton Refinery. 

The Execution Coordinator is responsible for coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities within an assigned operational area of the refinery.  

This role drives effective work execution, prioritization, and resource coordination to deliver maintenance outcomes to the highest safety and performance standards. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure maintenance schedule compliance through disciplined supervision and effective work execution.  

  • Prioritize planned and reactive maintenance activities to support process safety, operational reliability, and production targets.  

  • Coordinate troubleshooting, repairs, and small plant outages to achieve safe and efficient outcomes.  

  • Design and validate engineering solutions that meet functional, performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.  

  • Develop, review, and improve engineering standards and specifications to ensure quality and compliance.  

  • Conduct engineering inspections, assess asset integrity, and specify remedial actions to maintain compliance and operational safety. 

 

About you

You have demonstrated experience in a similar role working within a Major Hazard Facility or Processing plant environment, with the proven ability to oversee multidisciplinary teams and contractors. You are an effective communicator who can prioritise and coordinate activities across multiple disciplines and contract groups. With a strong continuous improvement mindset, you are committed to delivering operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of safety in everything you do. 

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Trade or Engineering qualification with demonstrated experience in the Refining, Oil & Gas, or related process industries.  

  • Strong knowledge of CMMS and work management systems to support effective maintenance planning and execution.  

  • Proficient in root cause analysis methodologies, including RCA and 5 Whys investigations.  

  • Proven ability to prioritize workloads and coordinate multiple disciplines and contractor groups simultaneously.  

  • Effective communicator with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset in cross-functional environments.  

  • Experience in engineering technology, design, and development, applying appropriate tools, methods, and software while working independently and providing technical guidance.
