About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Integrated Operations & Maintenance Systems Lead to join the Lytton Refinery. The role supports safe, reliable, and efficient refinery performance by ensuring Operations and Maintenance systems, standards, and practices are integrated and consistently applied. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Planning & Scheduling, Engineering, and Business Leaders, the position develops integrated plans, analyses performance and risk, and support disciplined execution. Acting as a peer and cross-functional connector, the role promotes shared accountability, challenges performance gaps, supports problem-solving, and strengthens organisational capability to deliver operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Drive safe, reliable, and efficient refinery performance through integrated Operations and Maintenance systems, standards, and practices.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Planning & Scheduling, Engineering, and Business Leaders to align priorities and deliver integrated execution plans.
Analyse performance, risks, and dependencies to identify improvement opportunities and ensure plans are realistic and achievable.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional improvement initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, resourcing, and delivery of outcomes.
Act as custodian of agreed systems and ways of working, providing constructive challenge and ensuring compliance with site standards.
Strengthen organisational capability by coaching teams, supporting problem-solving, and providing leadership with clear insights on system health, risks, and performance.
About you:
You will bring proven experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated ability to integrate Operations and Maintenance systems, standards, and work practices to drive safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Your strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills will enable you to build effective partnerships across Business Teams, Maintenance, Planning & Scheduling, Engineering, and Execution functions, ensuring operational and maintenance plans are aligned and executed effectively.
As a proactive problem solver, you will identify and manage risks, dependencies, gaps, and overlaps across planning and execution activities. You will also act as a trusted accountability partner, providing constructive challenge, reinforcing agreed standards and commitments, and fostering a culture of collaboration, shared ownership, and continuous improvement to achieve sustainable operational outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Management, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in senior Operations, Maintenance, or Operational Leadership roles within complex industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks and relevant Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation.
Demonstrated application of safe work systems, procedures, and operational risk controls.
Advanced capability in measuring and evaluating operational performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and recommending actions to enhance business outcomes.
Proven ability to work independently, provide technical guidance, and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
