About the role  

We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused HR Driver to join our team at our Gladstone Depot. If you enjoy variety in your day, take pride in your work, and like dealing with customers face-to-face, this could be a great fit. 

In this role, you’ll be operating a Mini Tanker completing onsite refuelling across customer sites, managing your own run, working independently, and delivering a high standard of service every time. 

Alongside refuelling, there may also be some lubricant deliveries and general yard duties, so we’re looking for someone who is happy to pitch in wherever needed and the ability to safely climb plant and equipment to perform refuelling. 

 

Must haves   

  • Commitment to Ampol’s values   

  • A current HR licence   

  • Strong communication (verbal, written and presentation) with persuasive ability to influence change 

  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.   

  • Safety focussed 

  • Willing to commit on day shift  

  • Demonstrated experience operating a Heavy Rigid Vehicle   

  • The ability to plan and manage your own schedule effectively 

  • Reliable and a solid work ethic  

 

Nice to haves:   

  • Fuel transport industry experience   

  • Current DG licence   

  • Current SLP licence   

  • Operational knowledge of relevant laws and statutes applying to the transport of petroleum products including OH&S, Environmental, Dangerous Goods and Transportation rules and regulations.
