About the role

 

As a trusted subject matter expert, you will provide strategic guidance and operational support to the business. This role is crucial in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Ampol’s Security Risk Framework and Emergency Management planning.

Through deep expertise and proactive business partnering, the Security Specialist (Retail Security & Risk Business Partner), will ensure Ampol’s high standards are upheld ensuring the safety of our people, assets, and reputation.

 

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Proactively assess security gaps and implement solutions to protect retail operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including government agencies and law enforcement.
  • Guide stakeholders on security risk management processes and controls.
  • Deliver accurate reporting on security and loss prevention performance data.
  • Uphold HSE standards and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and investigating incidents.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Certificate IV in Security Risk Management or tertiary qualifications in Security, WHS, or Risk-related disciplines.
  • Proven background in security risk management for personnel and assets, with knowledge of security practices, standards, and systems.
  • Competence in auditing management systems and advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel).
  • Ability to provide expert advice and coaching to senior managers and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal communication and data analysis capabilities to influence decisions and develop processes addressing emerging security risks.
