About the role
The role is responsible for providing support to the Grid Connections function, to ensure all grid connection activities are delivered efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role will actively assist
Deployment Managers by coordinating and documenting grid connection processes, helping to streamline approvals and maintain alignment between deployment timelines and network connection milestones.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in our Alexandria HQ with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key responsibilities
Assist in preparing and submitting grid connection applications to Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) and other relevant authorities, primarily for EV charging infrastructure and associated network alterations.
Gather and validate technical data required for grid connection designs and approvals.
Maintain accurate records of connection agreements, permits, and compliance documentation.
Update project tracking tools and provide status reports on grid connection activities.
Document Management: Maintain a local document management system for an office or department.
Knowledge Management System: Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience using MS Office Suite and basic project management and tracking tools such as Clarity and Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
Strong communication and coordination skills for stakeholder engagement.
Adaptability, collaboration and problem solving under tight timeframes.
Verbal Communication: Works with full competence to express ideas, request actions, and formulate plans by means of clear and effective verbal communication. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
Project Schedule Management: Works with full competence to identify, sequence, and resource project schedules for timely completion. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
Planning and Organising: Works with full competence to plan, organise, prioritise and oversee activities to efficiently meet objectives. Typically works without supervision and may provide technical guidance.
