About the role

Our Summer Vacation Program is designed for students looking to kick-start their career, build valuable skills and learn from industry professionals. Over the course of the program, you'll work on meaningful projects, expand your network, and gain insight into what it's like to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

About you

Our ideal candidates are motivated to build technical, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills to drive value across our refining and process safety functions.

Eligibility/Qualification criteria

• Must be a Citizen / Permanent Resident to be considered for this program
• Be completing Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Chemical)

The recruitment process for our student vacation program is as follows: 

1. Submit your application
   • What to include? Personal details, CV, GPA, transcripts, and right-to-work evidence.
      
2. Complete a video interview
   • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a digital interview and psychometric testing. A fair and equitable review of your skills, background, and motivations will take place by the Recruitment Team.
      
3. Shortlisted applicants will attend an interview - What to expect?
   • A chance for you to bring your best self and hear from us, you will undertake a tour at our refinery and then do an interview in person or online via Teams.
      
4. Offer and checks
   • Formal offer and pre-employment checks are undertaken

Please note that Ampol does not provide relocation assistance or reimbursement for interstate candidates. Applicants who are currently based outside of Queensland will need to carefully consider their ability to relocate to Brisbane at their own expense should they be successful in securing a position in the program.
