As a Kaitātari Umanga Mātāmua Senior Business Analyst  you will work with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and 3rd party vendors. You’ll be responsible for gathering, reviewing and documenting detailed requirements so that our cross functional teams can deliver great software solutions for our customers.  

This role is a 12 Month Mat Leave Cover Contract 

You will have the opportunity to 

  • Define and shape functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions, setting the standard for clarity and quality across complex, multi-system environments 
  • Lead and facilitate workshops and requirement sessions that bring together diverse stakeholders to align, challenge and refine outcomes 
  • Contribute to meaningful business cases that influence real investment decisions around legacy modernisation, system enhancements and new technology initiatives 
  • Play an integral role in the end-to-end delivery of software solutions as part of a cross-functional team, with genuine ownership and accountability for outcomes 
  • Get hands-on with product and service lifecycle management, working across established processes and tooling in a complex, interconnected platform landscape 
  • Drive gap analyses and change assessments that directly inform how the organisation transitions to its target state capabilities, with your work traceable throughout the delivery lifecycle 

 

 

What you’ll bring to Z 

  • Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering, with the ability to manage complexity across multiple dependent systems and workstreams 
  • Stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences, including third-party vendors and integration partners 
  • Strong communication skills, with experience translating complex technical concepts into clear business requirements and documentation 
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking, particularly in navigating constraints imposed by legacy technology 
  • Comfortable in end-to-end delivery ownership, ensuring quality and consistency across all phases from discovery through to implementation 
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt approach based on project needs and organisational context 
  • Hands-on experience working in agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement and continuous improvement 
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence and Miro for documentation, workflow management and collaborative analysis 
  • Experience mapping and documenting integrations between systems, including data flows, APIs and dependencies across interconnected platform

The base salary range for this role is $111,800 to $131,500 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
