About the role
This role is accountable for embedding the mindsets and practices required to bring our Safety and Wellbeing stand to life and embed risk management across our Corporate Business Units. The mahi will include ensuring that our safety management systems and psychosocial risk management systems are functioning well, driving a program of wellbeing initiatives across Z and supporting showcasing Safety moments at Z.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Work with senior stakeholders to build and embed risk management mindsets and practices
  • Be accountable for bringing the outcomes within Z’s Organisational Risk Management System (ZORM), to life within our Corporate Business Units
  • Work with the ZORM systems team to continuously improve the ZORM system, based on the needs of your areas and modern risk management approaches
  • Lead risk management communities of practices and key risk management activities such as risk profile reviews, annual planning, learning and investigations etc
  • Build the knowledge of the Safety, Wellbeing and Risk teams and business stakeholders by hosting regular capability boost sessions
  • Act as the SME for the ZORM Health at work standard, ensuring the business is operating in line with these requirements
  • Operate as the SME for psychosocial risk management across Z
  • Operate as a visible safety leader and subject matter expert, championing safe practices at Z

 

What you’ll bring to Z

  • Experience in a senior Health Safety or Risk role in a complex commercial environment
  • Conversant with relevant legislation and best practice for operational risk management practice as well as knowledge of risk management systems
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing programmes designed to promote wellbeing and manage psychosocial risk
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and confidently to diverse stakeholders
  • The ability to coach and mentor leadership teams and risk owners across the business, supporting them to design & implement risk reduction strategies
  • Experience driving cultural change with knowledge of building and executing on business plans
  • Skilled in the prioritisation of requests and resources

The base salary range for this role is $157,500 to $185,250 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company and individual performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
